Here we are once again – ‘Employee Appreciation Day’.
I find one small issue with that – not that it will make any difference.

It’s regarded as an ‘Employee’ day – that’s like reminding us that we work ‘for’ someone vs work ‘with.’ We are encouraged to think and own our space like an owner, so why call us Employees? How about Teams Day or [Company] Members Day? Nothing we do can be achieved in isolation anyway.

Jobs help us provide for our families and loved ones. But, for us, it’s more than a job. We care deeply about the work we do and the impact it has on our clients, partners, and each other. We go above and beyond to achieve our goals and make this team stronger. We spend more time focusing and thinking about our job than what’s happening in our lives. You may be having a rough day caring for your loved ones or some other personal crisis, but you put on a brave front and continue your work with the same zeal. That’s not an attitude of an ‘Employee.’ It’s an owner’s mindset – willing to go beyond to do what is right for your business and your Team.

That’s what I am grateful for. The culture that each of you has contributed to in making this a better place is second to none. But we are not done yet, and we can and will do more and earn the right place you deserve; each of you deserves more.

On that note, my sincere appreciation for all the hard work and dedication to making this place better. Each of you has played an essential role in building our business, and I want you to know that although often, accolades don’t come our way, your efforts have never gone unnoticed.

Your commitment to doing better and going above and beyond has significantly impacted our Team’s success. I am constantly reminded and impressed by your dedication, teamwork, and creativity in finding new solutions to problems. I am humbled to work alongside such an amazing team, and I know that our future successes will directly result from your hard work and commitment.

I look forward to continuing to work with such a talented and committed team. As we continue to grow and evolve as a team, I am confident that we will continue to achieve great things together. Your contributions are invaluable, and I am grateful for each and every one of you. I also want to extend my appreciation to your family and loved ones for their support and understanding during times when we need to focus on our work.
