There are thousands of people out there with the same or similar social and cultural background you have.

There are thousands of people out there with the same or similar education you have.

When you get a job, thousands of people will do what you do for a living.

There are thousands of people who feel the same or similar emotions of happy and sad.

So, what makes you special?

It’s your thinking.

What does your thinking depend on?

Your beliefs.

What does your belief depend on?

Your environment and your upbringing.

Your environment is not isolated to you only. There are others in there too.

So, you are like others too.

So, what makes you special?

If your thinking can be influenced, then your way of differentiation is only your attention, your focus.

Focus and attention are the most valuable commodity today and will be in future. Your mental real estate is priceless,

Everyone is screaming to devour a piece of that. Whether it’s the social media feed or the emails at work, or your children and even your pet. Everyone wants to get their job done.

The only way to keep yourself above water is to sharpen your focus. Multi-tasking is a lie. Devote yourself to what you want to get out of this very moment and ignore everything else. That’s what will differentiate you when you produce high-quality output from your endeavour.

Whether you are tending to your children or sweeping the floor, your true attention to the result will make you special.
