Over 500 hundred years ago in 1519 Hernando Cortez, the Spanish captain and explorer decided to seize the Aztecs, a mighty empire that had been around for thousands of years. Cortez took his soldiers and sailors and sailed south. Upon landing his fleet of ships on the shores of the Yucatan, the captain ordered his men to burn their own ships.

The story is about an emperor who cares more about his appearance and posturing, hires two weavers, who to satisfy his vanity promise to make him the most elegant clothes worthy of an emperor that can only be seen by worthy men.

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside us all. He said, “My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.” The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked: “Which wolf wins?”
