Start Before You’re Ready
Picture yourself on top of a high building. You’re asked to cross to the next building, 15 meters away, on a plank only 30 centimeters wide. There’s no safety net, and you’ve never done it before. You might make it, but the fear of falling would be immense.
Now imagine the same challenge, but with a large safety net suspended below. You might experience some nerves, but you won’t feel overwhelmed by fear. You might even feel excited to reach the other side.
The gap between the buildings is the gap between where you are and who you wish to become.

Lack of a safety net leads to a lack of confidence. If every new attempt feels like risking everything, fear will hold you back. But with a safety net, the kind built from self-confidence, you know you can fall, get up, and try again. It allows you to step into the unknown, start before you’re ready, and play full out. It doesn’t remove fear, but makes it manageable because you trust you’ll be okay.
Courage is the bridge between you and the confidence you want. Trust is what it takes to cross.
I’ll be back with more next week.
Stay tuned.
