Why Your Culture Isn’t Sticking

Perhaps you work for a company that is committed to its mission and culture, which is great. The culture is taught via a handbook. Company leaders commonly quote the mission statement in their communications like emails, newsletters, or speeches. Maybe it’s printed on mugs.
 
But does anyone feel anything about it? They know the words, but do they feel it in their bones? Does it shape their decisions and create a deep sense of commitment?
 
It could. Many companies and leaders mistakenly believe that simply talking about the mission statement is enough to connect and inspire their teams. The truth is, one A small salary increase or perk from another company can easily sway an employee, leading to turnover.
 
 
I’m not sure you hire. train, and incentivize top talent just to have them look elsewhere the second you take the carrot away or offer a slightly smaller carrot.
 
The answer is more complicated than some of the complex products or services the company produces. I’ve learned from my father’s business that supporting employees in tough times ensures they will support the company in return.
 
The balance between employers and employees has shifted, with declining commitment from both parties.
