In today’s digital age, we are inundated with a deluge of information. The challenge lies in discerning valuable insights from trivial data. Understanding the process of gathering information is paramount to enhancing the quality of our learning.
There are two methods to consider: fishing and hunting. Fishing represents a more passive approach to gathering information. It’s like casting your line without knowing what you’ll catch, much like browsing news feeds and social media. While this method can occasionally lead to discovering interesting information, it often results in consuming irrelevant or junk.
Hunting, on the other hand, is an active approach to gathering information. You have a clear goal and pursue it with purpose, like conducting a targeted search on Google or asking specific questions on platforms like ChatGPT.

Knowing when to be passive or active can lead to better results.
Are you fishing or hunting?
I’ll be back with more next week.
Stay tuned.
